I see you...

I see you ! :)
Today's Verse, II Chronicles 16:9

"For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him."

In listening to James MacDonald this week, this verse has brought on a whole new meaning. The Lord, Watches, HE Watches, and He Watches, and he looks throughout the whole earth for those of us that love him and are committed to him. That should give us all confidence and security. His disposition is to Watch me and to strengthen me...because I love him.

I want to be "watched"...

PS God fascinates me, if you think about any of this too long, you will go crazy....we cannot understand God. He is everywhere, for everyone, at all times... huh... I personally cannot wait to meet him, I am sure I will fall flat on my face...Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come... :)

Promise # 3 - Do not DESPAIR...

I will not Despair, God is Good. God promises,

Despair, once you go there, you often do not come back. Despair, to lose hope, to lose a positive expectation. Three things that define or bring on DESPAIR,

1. Surprise- you didn't know it was coming.
2. Severe- this situation or thing is very severe.
3. Settled- it is over, it is final.

Psalm 27: 13 "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. " Confident, surely, with confidence, I will SEE, I will SEE the GOODNESS of the Lord while I live.
Now that is a promise!!!!!!

I, personally, have been to the brink of Despair not once but several. My faith in God, IS the only reason, I did not sink to despair. God promises that I will "SEE" the goodness of the LORD while I live. I have seen his goodness,...I am a living example of what God's goodness brings and I wait expectantly to see his work while I wait patiently.
On a final note,
If God allowed it to happen, he is going to use it for the good. A great example James gave was a Master chess player. Picture God as the Master player. It does not matter how we move, he has the next move, and it is a move that is for our good. God is NOT the cause of bad things in our life, he has our interest, our good, first and foremost. We may not be able to see it right now, but God is in control. God is God, why? Because he is GOD!

Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Key words - for those who love him... not for everyone for but for those that love him! Wow, now that is a promise. I am truly blessed...

Find your way home to TEXAS...

Straight from Economist, http://www.texasrealestate.com/

“The risk of a home price decline in Texas is low,” says Ali Anari, Ph.D., a Center research economist. “Texas’ lower-than-national-average housing cost is one reason for the state’s higher-than-national-average growth rate,” says Anari. “When Texans are able to spend more on non-housing goods and services, the state’s economy is strengthened and more people are attracted.”
“These results illustrate one of the key reasons the Texas economy outperforms the United States in terms of job growth almost every year,” says Dotzour. “The fact that Texans pay less of their income for housing means they have more to spend on other things that add to the overall quality of life. Texas offers a lower cost of living than many places in the United States."

So, Welcome to Texas!

Promise # 2 - Do not DOUBT...

I am on my #2 cd with James MacDonald, I am coming to you with the truths that hit me!

"Do not DOUBT"
* Doubt is the soil that fear grows in.
* Doubt is the direct result of taking your eyes off the Lord.

Proverbs 3: 5-6
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Do I truly "trust" in the Lord with all my heart... even if I "think" I can fix a problem, even if I "think" I know how to handle a situation, I must remember that God commands me to NOT lean on my own understanding. Bring it to him, acknowledge him, and guess what? He will "pave the way" for me. Not that everything in my life will be perfect, but God makes a way for me to make it. James went on to ask the audience, "are there things in the future, that you worry about?, financial security, college for kids, family"... We have to remember that God is "sovereign". God is God, he is in complete control. I have future concerns myself, just like everyone, but if I truly trust the Lord with all my heart, acknowledge him, he will make a way for me. I do my part, and God does his part. Walk in faith, while waiting for God to work!

Promise # 1 - Do not Fear...

One of my partners, Donna, a very good friend and mentor, brought me Cd's to listen to from James MacDonald. She raves about them. Mind you, I am not one to listen to Cd's, but today, I had to drive to Chandler, a good hour trip, to check out a new listing. I put my phone down and popped in the first cd and now ~ I am hooked.
The phrase, he kept repeating over and over was,
"Walk by faith while waiting for HIM to work."
First Promise ~ Do not Fear, Deuteronomy 31:6 Claim this promise~
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
One thing that really struck me, was James saying (me paraphrasing) ,
If you knew Jesus was in the next room from you, on his knees, arms spread open with nail pierced hands, praying just for you, wouldn't you have no fear? Well, he is. He is constantly interceding for you before the Father. He is saying, give her patience, help her do the right thing, help her be strong, help her, - etc etc etc... Can you imagine how you would feel? I would have more of a bounce in my step, talk about confidence!
Wow, that was a moment for me! Even though I know I am never alone, I have never pictured it this way. "He will never leave me or forsake me." No matter the circumstance!

The Love Kitchen...

Twins, Helen and Ellen, founded www.Thelovekitchen.org...community service.
Three "truths" their father taught them,
1. There is only one father, and that is the Father in Heaven.
2. There is only one race, that is the human race.
3. Never take the last piece of bread, someone may come by in need of it.

These ladies are in their 80's now, they are precious, spunky, they remind me of  "shewood", independent, confident women.

I wonder if I am teaching my offspring these "truths". Makes one ponder!

What have you done?...

I started over again in Genesis just a couple of days ago.
I am only on chapter 4 of Genesis, and you know what God has said "two" times already?

"What have you done?"

Genesis 3 God said to Adam and Eve, "Where are you?" they hid because they were naked, they disobeyed and ate of the tree that God told them not to eat! He said "What is this you have done?"
Genesis 4 God said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?", Cain said, " I don't know", when he knew he had just killed him. God said to Cain, What have you done?
I do not know how many years accounts for Genesis 1-4, but good grief, his creation lied to him.

I feel like I have been asked this before from God, not just once but several. I can confess my sins, but guess what? I still reap the consequences. Adam and Eve were the first to endure the consequences of sin, land was cursed, and pain in childbirth. I surely know that is right :) But, also, Cain, endured hardship and says "my punishment is more than I can bear."

My final thought when reading just these four chapters is that, Adam, Eve and Cain, all three could not bear being hidden from God's presence. In fact, God placed a cherubim with flaming swords guarding the way to the tree of life. Can you just imagine that scene, Adam and Eve leaving the most perfect place on Earth. What punishment that was. But also, Cain thought he would be a restless wanderer and whoever finds me will kill me, but God said, "not so". God loves us so much. He loved Cain so much that he said whoever hurt him would be paid seven times.

I believe the worst thing that I can imagine, would be God driving me from his presence. One day every knee will bow and confess that he is Lord.

Final sentence of Genesis 4: "At that time people began to call on the name of the LORD. " Very interesting to me...they felt the need to Pray!

Fresh...impressed...

Okay, so I was one of the many that checked out FRESH...I absolutely love it. Just the colors alone in the fruit and vegetables, made my palate salivate... If you know me, you know I love color! Layton and I sampled all the fruits, the "Blood" orange was one of the ones we loved. Very messy though, can you even imagine with a 3 year old... I cannot wait to go alone to the store...and buy my "new finds"...
