One cup Canola oil
One package powder Ranch dressing mix

Cake in the face, yea...

Take 1
Take 2
Take 3
Take 4
So, being the 2013 President of the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors, I took a bet at the first general membership meeting.
If a cake was decorated and raised at a minimum of $1000 for TREPAC, Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee, I would allow the cake to be smashed in my face!  It happened!

I have never done this before, but hey, it raised money to help defend private property rights.
Task accomplished!

4 Ingredient Biscuits...

4 Ingredient Biscuits

1 cup Bisquick
1/4 cup sour cream
Cut the sour cream into the bisquick with a fork.
Add 1/4 cup 7 UP.  Mix together

Grease a pie plate.  Melt 2 T butter in the pie plate.

Cut biscuits on a bisquick covered towel or board. I used a small round cutter.
Place in dish.  Bake at 450 for 10-12 minutes or until brown.

Delicious,
This made small biscuits, a pie plate full.  So if you need more, adjust recipe.

Sooo good and easy!

Keep on...

Clinging to this verse this week, Acts 18:9-10

“Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10 For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

Lot's of issues in Real Estate this week.  Needing to protect clients and business in general.  Praying for stress relief!

Philadelphia Blessing...Community Needs! ...

Lorri and Holly's community outreach,
We are personally going to try and help
bring in the food needed for the community.
Stay tuned...

Whitehouse, Texas

Anthony Johnson is the Director and works for Tyler Metro Church too.
This is the Emergency Food Pantry for the Whitehouse community.

I contacted my mother and her Sunday School class this last week, and look what they donated yesterday. :)
Thank you, Boomers Sunday School Class-Green Acres Baptist Church! You made a HUGE difference in many lives today! Your kindness and prayers sustained the families/individuals that visited Philadelphia Blessing today!

This is what caring looks like...

Your donations were delivered to Philadelphia Blessing this morning courtesy of Lorri Loggins! Holly and I, along with our kids and grandson helped stock the shelves.  What a great opportunity for our kids to help with the communities needs!  Just in time, too, as Philadelphia Blessing found out they wouldn't have their requested order filled until NEXT Monday! They were able to provide every family/individual that visited today peanut butter, saltine crackers and tuna, which is a BIG TREAT!

If you would like to continue helping families in need, your contributions are welcome.
Current needs:
  • Peanut butter
  • Tuna
  • Box cereal
  • Bags of rice
  • Saltine crackers

THANK YOU for BEING the DIFFERENCE!
Blessings,

If you would like to donate, Holly and I will deliver.  Just call us 903-571-8033, or 903-520-8522.

More good news, housing market...

  More Bullish Housing News

  • Home sales volume is up.
  • Home prices are up.
  • The percent of people who say they want to buy a house is up.
  • Homebuilder stocks are up.
  • New home sales are up.
  • New home construction is up.

All of these trends have been duly noted and discussed in my previous posts throughout 2012.

Well, here is another indication of strength in the single-family market.
Wall Street whales are now swallowing up plankton (houses) in massive quantities. The biggest of the big money is now foraging across America. Here are some excerpts from a Dec. 9 CNBC report.
“A flurry of private-equity giants and hedge funds has spent billions of dollars to buy thousands of foreclosed single-family homes. They are purchasing them on the cheap through bank auctions, multiple listing services, short sales and bulk purchases . . . with plans to fix up the properties, rent them out and watch their values soar as the industry rebounds.”

Cherry Fluff...

Cherry Fluff

1 can - Cherry pie filling
1 14 oz  can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 8 oz can of Crushed Pineapple
2/3 bag Mini Marshmallows
1 cup Chopped Pecans
16-24oz Cool Whip
You will need a large mixing Bowl and a spoon and a spatula.

First, completely drain the crushed pineapple. I used a small mesh stainer.  Completely drain.

Next combine all the ingredients except the cool whip and the cherry pie filling. Make sure to mix well. Then fold in the cherry pie filling and then fold in the Cool Whip. I say fold, because you don't want to crush all the cherries, and you don't want to flatten the cool whip.

Delicious!  Oh and it freezes perfectly.  This makes a large amount of salad.  Eat, store in small containers and when ready to use, take from freezer and place in refrigerator till thawed!
