Small whisper...

Matthew 10:27
"What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs."

I came across this verse this morning.  I have been pondering.  How many times do we hear that small whisper?  We either act on it, or we don't.
When I came into the office this morning, Holly, told me that she had sent a hand written  note to person that she felt led to do so.  Immediately, I got on the computer and looked up Matthew 10:27 and read the verse to her.  Maybe in some small way, God was telling me to ponder and relay this verse to her today.  Maybe in some small way, this verse answered questions in her mind that let her know what she did was "right".
You know Holly could have ignored that whisper.  But she did not.  I could have ignored the whisper this morning, but I did not.  I underlined the verse early this morning, and had every intention to blog about this verse today.  So, I stopped what I was doing just now, and I blogged.

Surely,

Appreciative...

Name of this pic, how I inspect, appreciate my lawn.... :)
and this little guy is deliberate in his actions... he's feeling that grass! He's appreciating the feel~

I received an email today with "Rooneyisms"

"I've learned...
That under everyone's hard shell
is someone
who wants to be
appreciated and loved."

I needed to read this today.  I have to say alot of the time I get so frustrated with people that are hard, cold and obstinate.  I need to change my tune..... I need to start off conversations with,
"I appreciate you!" , you are loved!   Wish me luck :)

I'll let you know if that works!  Yep, I'm smiling!

Are our clients posting too much?... less is more!

I love this Texas flag!

Taken from the Texas Association of Realtors,
Did you know?
Are your clients sharing too much information?
"Thirty seconds of Internet research can reveal a lot about a person. If that person happens to be a buyer or seller in a real estate transaction, such a search could also reveal motivations and other personal details that you won’t find in any contract or addendum—details that could hurt his negotiating position.
Buyers could post photos of a listing on Facebook along with comments about how desperate they are to have their offer accepted. Sellers might tweet about how they can’t wait to move away from a certain neighbor.
If the other parties in a transaction or their agent sees these posts, your clients’ negotiating position could be weakened, costing them money or even killing a deal. Tell your clients to keep their real estate transactions off social media channels. It doesn’t take much effort to Google someone’s name."

My take on this article -  As a Realtor, Facebook and Social Media are great resources to capture and cultivate relationships and leads.
But, our clients need to leave the work to the Realtors.  A client's post could be detrimental to a sale or purchase!   Great article!

Don't wanna...

Ever find yourself worrying about something?  Quote from James MacDonald this morning,
"Worry only keeps you from doing today, what will affect your future."

For instance, this little chicken... He (I am choosing that "it" is a he, lol)... he does not want to be a nugget one day.  But, what will his worrying about the "future", about being a nugget, change for him today?  Nothing, not one thing will change.  He might as well enjoy his meals, because his future will happen.  I know it is morbid, sad huh... I don't want to think about this cute thing as a nugget.

We can worry about family, finances, health... but not one thing can change by worrying.  But we can do things today that may change how it affects what will inevitably take place.  We can nurture, we can save money and plan, we can eat right and exercise.  All these small things will make a difference.

So, wanna worry?  Do your very best and leave the outcome to God.  Once again, Proverbs 16:33
"The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord."

Look up...

This morning, nearing the end of my walk, I stopped because I thought, OMG, look how absolutely beautiful the trees are when I "look up".  You might think I am absolutely crazy, but the song I was listening too, was "Jesus, Friend of Sinners" by Casting Crowns.

The line that was playing in the song was,
"Always looking around but never looking up I'm so double minded"

Yes, I am serious, that was the line in the song.  Below is the chorus,

"Oh Jesus friend of sinners
Open our eyes to the world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus friend of sinners break our hearts for what breaks yours

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9Kcm2OAWNA     Listen to the song!  Love it!

My prayer today is exactly that "break my heart for what breaks yours".  So many people I deal with in real estate, are hurting.  Some I really do not want to help, it's hard, it's heart breaking, it's life...just hard life.  I am in prayer for particular situation  as I write.  I suppose this is my answer.  God break my heart for what breaks yours!

Tablescape June 17, 2012...

Tablescape by my  mother for her Sunday School class for Father's Day!  The saying on the left is from a card I gave my daddy a while ago.  See the little lamb looking to the bigger lamb (father), and he has leather around his neck.  So masculine, don't you think?  Happy Father's Day!

Nature spoke...

Look in the distance,

As I came around the secluded path I talked about yesterday on my post, I was listening to James MacDonald, on Grace, quoting John 3:16...
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life..."
and what did I see in the distance?  a cross...

I walked past the cross, began listening to this song, "Live like that" by Sidewalk Prophets
Lyrics,

  • "I want to live like that
  • and give it all I have
  • So that everything I say and do
  • Points to YOU..."
http://youtu.be/GfosSggwQS0        click to listen to the song!
Ironically, I walked past this scene the first time, I kept thinking I should go back and take a pic.  But, I kept walking.  But, I went back around, which was probably another 1/2 mile to take this pic.  I am telling you, if you look, if you seek, you will find.  Nature spoke to me today!  God reveals himself to all mankind, regardless of your circumstance, regardless of your geography... everyone, everywhere, knows there is a God.

Wish you were a horse?

Protection...

A little anxious this morning... I have been walking in a park several times a week.  Love, Love, Love the park. Love the cool of the morning, love the canopy of trees, love the park.   People around, older, younger, people of all kinds.... then yesterday.... evil entered the park... man arrested.... fear set in...
I refuse to let evil stop me from enjoying my stress reliever....

My early mornings are times of prayer, 30 minutes of James MacDonald, and I finish with Christian top hits... I absolutely love this time of the day.

Sooo, this morning, I prayed constantly... from the first step out of my car, to the last step...  As I walked in an area that is more secluded than others, (and yes, mother, I am constantly aware of my surroundings and I am packin' mace), I prayed for angels.  I prayed for people to be around.  OMG, I passed an older gentleman, then a older couple with a small dog, then another woman on the phone, and then a older man with two retrievers.  Is this an answer to prayer?  I am sure people that see me think why does she have tears in her eyes?  Usually, I am in deep thought, and either praying or thanking for answers to prayers. Today I was overwhelmed...  Some may think this morning was coincidental.  Nope.  Usually, there is no one on this secluded path, maybe one person.  I believe God sent people.  People made me feel comfortable.

I prayed the verse in Proverbs 18:10 over and over and over this morning,
"The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe"  Amen, right?
Proverbs 8:17
"I love those who love me, and those who seek me, find me"

If you look, if you seek, if you pray, you will find God.  You will find answers to prayers!

I am in awe, that this little person, in the universe, is cared for by the Almighty God.  He is my protector!
