Prepare for Rain...
Jason and I watched "Face the Giants" again. I had forgotten what a powerful message this movie conveys. Nothing is impossible with God...
"Prepare for rain, leave the results to God."
Ironically, lol, I read Psalm 33 first thing this morning: ( BTW, I do not believe in coincidences)
"A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine."
Another words, our efforts cannot save us, our efforts cannot keep us safe, our efforts cannot deliver us from pain, our efforts cannot bring satisfaction, success, or salvation. Only by the grace of God, our belief in Him, surrendering everything to Him and then having faith to believe it will happen as He chooses. I choose to be happy with whatever God chooses for my life, but I do know that I have to prepare for the rain...

The biggest PRIZE of all time...
Today's Verse, I Corinthians 2:8-9
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"[
When I read this verse, I thought, oh my--I thought I knew what heaven would be like, or I imagined. Heaven to me is where I live, green pastures, sparkling water on the lakes, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, listening to Layton giggle, feeling and hearing the wind as it rushes through my porches, smelling fresh baked cookies... but if you read the verse again, we have never seen, heard or conceived what God has prepared for us, and when I say "us", I mean those your love HIM only. I sure love prizes, and guess what, the biggest one is to Come!...

Clasped Hands, eyes shut tight...
Today's Verse, Luke 18:17
"I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
You know I think about Layton when I think of this verse. He is only 2, but he already knows when we pray to "try" and close his eyes. Last night before dinner, Jason and I prayed, and I watched Layton. I had not asked him to close his eyes, but, he had shut his eyes (very tightly) and was peeking just a little. All I can say is precious. Today at lunch, I told him we were going to pray, and so sweetly, he clasp his hands together and closed his eyes. He did not close them for long, but he tried. That just goes to show you that teaching children when they are young, is so important. They believe without question, they believe without trying to be something they
are not, they just believe. Do you have that child like belief?

GTAR General Membership Meeting...
I attended a Greater Tyler Association of Realtors General Membership Meeting today. We had a great lunch and a great speaker from TREC-Texas Real Estate Commission, Doug Oldmixion-Administrator.
So that you will know:
TREC-Texas Real Estate Commission- is where I obtain my Real Estate Broker's License.
Did you know that TREC- protects the rights of YOU, the consumer.
Did you know that you can visit TREC online and look up any real estate agent's license? :)
Now you know!
Also, today is the first day of Fall!
Jumped Right off the page...
Today's verse, Hebrews 10:23
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."
Okay, I got it...two times this morning, the title of the page I was reading said "Trust me and refuse to Worry", and "Trust God with the future". Both of them struck me at once. I have been anxious about future events in my life and I do not want to worry or think about the future. I prayed God would lead me and give me a peace. Well, here you go.
John 14:1
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me."
Let me remind you that I do not randomly open the Bible each day and read. I have a study pattern, so I really believe when I came across both of these passages, God was speaking directly to me.
I feel sometimes I am talking to myself on the Internet, so bare with me. I never invisioned when I began blogging that I would be writing post about my daily devotional time. I just believe I am led to share my life, not only fun, family, work, frustration, but God's salvation and the peace and joy that I have through him. Surely,
This lil' burr head...
I just had to post this picture this morning. Jason took Layton to get his haircut again yesterday afternoon. This is Jason's job now...hehe Jason said he was so good, he sat in the chair by himself, had a blue sucker and even talked to the lady. He was a "hit" with the women. Lauren watch out!!! You think you have trouble now, wait till he is 13... omg...
Jason said Layton's hair is like animal fur, it is so thick being shaved off.
Layton knows his head is cute! :) He will even tell you!

We need Job Growth...
Latest news, Texas A & M Real Estate Center,
Dr. Mark Dotzour, the Real Estate Center's chief economist:
"The health of the residential and commercial real estate industries depends not on gross domestic product (GDP), but on job growth,
Job growth is the essential engine of growth in this country. Until we start producing jobs, it's premature to say we are out of the recession."
What doin' God?...
Today's Verse: Deuteronomy 6:5
"Love the LORD your God
with all your heart and
with all your soul and
with all your strength."
When I think about this verse, I think about how I "love" Lauren and Layton. No one has to talk me into loving them with ALL my heart, soul and strength. My love for them is unconditional, and comes naturally. I love them so much that I tell everyone about them, I talk to them daily, I long for the time that we spend together.

How much does God want us to be the same way? I know how I feel when Lauren calls, texts, emails, and say's MOMMA... I know how I feel when Layton says, "What doin' LaLa?"...omg I just melt. I bet God feels the same way, but so much more. We were made in his likeness and for his enjoyment! hmmmm

I want to overflow...
Today's Verse: Romans 15:13
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
This is the kind of HOPE I want to have (Having only Positive Expectations). I have to admit yesterday, I was in kind of a mood, not sure why, I wasn't unhappy, just what I call a "funk"...this morning, I read this verse and it just "hit" me. May my God of Hope fill ME with joy and peace as I trust Him, so that I may Overflow with HOPE!
I don't want just enough,
I want to overflow...

New Toy ~ Hello Kindle...
I am confessing now...I purchased this Kindle for Jason today - for Christmas... BUT, I opened, and to my amazement and disbelief, I did the imaginable...I coveted and kept it for me. I did confess this too him...he laughed. I absolutely, love this new toy. It does way more than I would have ever thought. Anyway, I always want to read, I want to relax besides working, and working on the computer. I do not like to hold books... but I like to hold this one!
I bought my first book and it downloaded in minutes. I am reading the one I have had saved on my to do list, it is :
"The Magnificent Obession, Embracing the God-Filled Life" by Anne Graham Lotz.
I sat down with a cup of coffee late today and I cannot wait to read more.
