Them Boots...
I captured this picture of Daddy and Layton outside...love the boots...love my daddy and I love my lil' man...
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble...
Layton brought me his "turkey" he made at school... cute-a-mous...
Jason and I trying to take a pic of ourselves before lunch...his arm is not long enough...hehe, I would say we look better at a distance, lol...
I am thinking he looks like his daddy... :) His shirt said "leaf me alone"...and that was his attitude... :)
We are not good at taking pics, we always forget, but at least I got a few! Wonderful day, and my specific prayer was answered, the prayer was that my daddy would feel good. He looked great, ate great and we all had fun and laughed today! Good times! God is so good to ME!

Don't Forget the Cranberries...
Thanksgiving is just not complete without homemade cranberry sauce. This is one of the easiest items to make, and oh it is so good for days...
Boil together~
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Add one package (12 ounces) of rinsed cranberries, and gently boil around 10 minutes, until skins crack. I stir and stir and mash the cranberries just a tad. Remove from stove and cool... I double this recipe because we love to have it along with leftover cold turkey and cold dressing...

I need wisdom...
Claiming God's promises today...Proverbs 1:1-7
My favorite verses, memorized and quoted daily in my prayers. Today is a day that I need wisdom, no stories today, just focusing on these verses,
1The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
2for attaining wisdom and discipline;
for understanding words of insight;
3for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life,
doing what is right and just and fair;
4for giving prudence to the simple,
knowledge and discretion to the young—
5let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance—
6for understanding proverbs and parables,
the sayings and riddles of the wise.
7The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

"Wisdom is also the comprehension of what is true or right coupled with optimum judgment as to action. Wisdom often requires control of one's emotional reactions (the "passions") so that one's principles, reason and knowledge prevail to determine one's actions."

2 cans whole kernel corn
2 cans ranch style beans
1 can kidney beans

I did it...IPAD...
I try to stay on "top" of all the changes that can help me in Real Estate and one of those areas is technology. I usually try something "new" each year. Last year, it was blogging, I so thought it would be a waste of time, and now I just love it. What can I say, but that I love change! So, this year, I bought an IPAD and it is amazing. Endless ways to use this technology in my business. Let the learning begin!
Can you hear me now?...
Isaiah 30:21
"Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
I am earnestly trying to listen. It is just amazing when you give everything to God, your family, health, children, grandchildren, business...the peace that "surpasses" all understanding. I never really understood that when I was young. I sure wish I had. I wonder if God is saying "can you hear me now?"

Storehouses...
Today's Verse, Jeremiah 10:12-13
"But God made the earth by his power;
he founded the world by his wisdom
and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.
When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar;
he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth.
He sends lightning with the rain
and brings out the wind from his storehouses.
When I read this verse, I always think about the wind at our house. It is just unbelievable. Actually, when I walk in the mornings and the wind is blowing, I think of just how big our God is!
If you can let your mind really ponder on the verses above, it is just more than we can comprehend!

Poor Poor Chocolate Pie...
This is just awful...I was going to surprise Jason and my daddy with their favorite pie, I was taking it out of the oven, it slid off the cookie sheet and dumped on the floor! Jason said "OHHH NOOOO"...I had to just stare at it for a moment and compose myself...so sad...

All Kinds...A Plethora...
Ephesians 6:18
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."
Love this picture-that is a plethora of Pink! and all kinds of ideas.
God says to pray with all kinds of prayers and requests. I bet God thinks "this girl took this verse literally", because I do pray about everything. Why not? he says too, and the best thing yet, everyone else can't hear me. :) thank goodness!

Happy Veteran's Day...
Today's Verse, Psalm 91:14-16
“Because he loves me,” says the LORD,
“I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Psalm 91 was my chapter to read this morning and it is so fitting for Veteran's Day. The entire chapter is one of my favorites. If you get time, read Psalm 91. Why do we fear? God's message is so simple, Because he loves me, says the LORD, I will rescue, protect, answer, be with, deliver, honor, satisfy and give him salvation.
I am so thankful today for our Veteran's. I have several clients that have served or are currently serving our country. Thank you for your service!

Weekend Home Project...
This is the BEFORE Pic...my rosemary had grown so big...
AFTER...
Jason pulled up all the rosemary with the tractor...and the rock creek began!
AFTER...
Jason pulled up all the rosemary with the tractor...and the rock creek began!
Another View...
All of the rock, we picked up in the pasture on Sunday afternoon, me, Jason and Layton...Layton had a blast helping us...when we built the house, I had leftover pieces of flagstone that we used for the middle of the dry creek bed. This creek bed is laid where my worst drainage problem is. I have clients all the time that get upset about drainage...well, it is an on-going project, and I hope I have corrected mine. I cannot wait for the first rain!
