Endured...

Today's Verse, Hebrews 12:3

"Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."



You know when I read this verse this morning, I thought about what my daddy is having to endure right now with his chemo. Jesus endured pain, great pain. I do not like it when my daddy hurts...I don't like it at all. I hate Cancer! I hate the pain it causes on the person along with the family. BUT, we must "consider HIM, who endured, so we will not grow weary!

I love you daddy and you are in my prayers day and night! I thought this picture was interesting...I picture the "white" hand as me, as I am praying to God for healing. Pick me, Pick me! :)

Long night at...

Last two days at http://www.morethanchocolate.net/, have been long nights... I bet we have iced 30 + dozen of sugar cookies, not including cupcakes and other cookies! We had fun though, right Lauren...we love to bake! I love you Lauren, more than chocolate, :) your momma!

Perserverance...

"Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."



Well if you read my next real estate postcard, you will realize we need prayer, patience and perseverance to deal with our economy. Our housing stats have really fallen the last 3 months, but does that stop us from trying, we will persevere through all this real estate mess. Hold on, be optimistic, right?

Butter Pecan Cake...

Butter Pecan Cake, So Easy!

One Butter Golden Cake Mix

Mix according to the directions on the box.

Stir in one can of Coconut Pecan Frosting.

Bake on 350 around 45 min to 1 hour, depending on your pan. In the picture, you can see I have an old seasoned bundt pan. This mixture was too much for the pan. I will not put as much in the pan again, or I will use a 13 x 9 inch pan. Take out of the oven when a toothpick comes out clean. I could not stop myself from eating this cake, so good!

Friday Night Football...

We are headed out to a REL game tonight. Lot's of memories in Rose Stadium with Lauren. Now Katie is in the REL band, and Kelly is moving her way up to Lee. :) Great weather tonight for football.

Rich or Poor?...

Today's Verse, Proverbs 22:2

"Rich and poor have this in common: "The LORD is the Maker of them all."

I bet alot of us feel like the chimp....huh?... but, we should always remember the verse above. "The Lord is the Maker of them all"! Especially in my business, I deal with varied economic situations. I sure love first time homebuyers. Yes, they purchase smaller houses, but they just love the day they sign paperwork and the house is their's. The larger houses, sometimes, are not very happy sales. Divorce, death, disaster, drama.... yea, drama is a good word for my business. Got to love it... :)

More and More...

Today's Verse, Psalm 71:14

"But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more."

It seems the more I trust God, the more praise I have. Or, is it vice versa. Maybe it works both ways. Anyway, I am praising God today, nothing in particular except the fact, I am so blessed!

Seek and find!...

Today's Verse, Isaiah 55:6

"Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near."

You may find yourself playing the game above...wouldn't it be great if we would take the same amount of time and seek God. He can be found! I challenge everyone to take a few minutes a day and just read one chapter of the Bible. It will absolutely change your life!

Instead of "seek and find", how about ~ "seek and found"...yea I like that!

Out of all the passages I read this morning, I wrote down these three verses. I had no idea at the time that all three were related! What a big God we serve. I sure have been thinking alot lately about how God KNOWS and CONTROLS everything! It is just too much to comprehend!
