Fiesta...

I took my mother and met my Aunt's today in Canton. We stopped at the Fiesta Dinnerware Warehouse right off I 20 before you get to Canton. They have first, second's and a few thirds. Love this dinnerware, and I added a few pieces to my collection. I love mixing all the colors. I am definitely a color person! Jason had the red with a lime green small bowl, and I had the lime green platter with a dark green small bowl .... oh my the presentation. You know that is how life is, presentation says it ALL! What a FUN day!

Why do we fear?...

II Chronicles 20:17

"Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you."

You know I just thought by reading through the Old Testament, that I would just read and endure alot of it. OH My, have I been surprised. It seems like I have been blessed each day. It seems over and over and over, all the people, turn from God, then repent and seek God, and rinse, lather, repeat, just like shampoo...(don't you love that analogy?)...lol

I hope that I can remember this verse each and every day. Seems we all face the scary unknown. I, along with some of my dear friends and family have life issues that are hard to face, but we are not alone. The Lord is with US!

My Pasture...

Psalm 37:3
"Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. "

How appropriate!~ This verse jumped off the page to me this morning, and I thought to myself, I need to memorize this verse. "DO GOOD, DO GOOD" Integrity, ethics, just do right, always!

Without going into the people that do wrong, and have done me wrong lately - I just believe God gave me this verse!

The picture, above, is the pasture that I look at daily, it was a month ago, and the pasture was not green, but I had snapped this picture of momma cow as she lay not many feet from my kitchen... I thought immediately of the pasture as I read this verse this morning. My road, Edna Lane-County Road 136, is where my life has unfolded since I was a wee little girl (Mother I know you like the word "wee"). Big memories and major life changes have occurred on this road. As I walked yesterday, I overlooked the 100+ acres, tears in my eyes, and thanked "my" God for blessing me so. This is my HOME, this is where I feel secure and this is my safe pasture!

No matter what, I will Trust in God and DO GOOD!

What a "Fabulous" end to a stressful week. I put several real estate files to rest and I am looking forward to a few quiet days. The only way this day could have been better, is.... get ready.... to weigh 10 lbs less! :)-

PS And by the way, I love to name pies...you know the movie "The Waitress" (click here to read about). If I had to name today's pie, it would be, "Fabulous, it is finished, it is done, I am spent.. PIE" - I am sure it would contain real whip cream and marshmallows-right mother?

Pearls...

Cheryl Sanders birthday at Villa Montez last night. Stephanie in the middle had on $20K worth of jewelry-pearls... she is selling tickets for Cattle Barron's. Yes, I am buying several tickets, hope I win!

Quiet...

I read this verse this morning, I even emailed it to myself and I read it several times today. Over and over again, I thought, "quiet, quiet". I kept thinking about God is in control, of everything! I need God to speak to my "Wind" today! and I mean it!

Mark 4:39

"He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm."

Upbeat...

I love Mondays, but many do not. I felt like this smiley one early today, then all the little problems started...good grief, how can there be so many issues in selling real estate. Maybe because I deal with hundreds of emails, texts, personalities, vendors and calls each day. When I saw this picture tonight, it made me smile. I want to be the "yellow" one! I just think I will picture this lil' guy each time, I ponder getting down! :)))))

Choices...

II Chronicles 12:14

"He did evil because he had not set his heart on seeking the LORD."

I read this chapter this morning, and this verse stuck out to me. King Rehoboam abandoned God, then humbled himself and God's anger turned from him. This happens over and over in the Old Testament ...

Picture this, many RED apples "choices" vs one GREEN apple "seeking God" There is only one way to our father,

John 14:6 " Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

We must set our heart on seeking God at all times!

Busy and Tired, but Happy...

Wow, what a week! I have not posted in a couple of days. This picture is exactly how I feel, phones in both ears! But, I am so thankful and grateful to my God for being busy. Tired is good!

I did manage to "memorize" the prayer in I Chronicles 29: 10-13...I quote it many times a day!

The last verse is "Now, our God, we give you thanks and praise your glorious name".

The story behind this wailing... we had Layton's birthday party at the house Saturday night. We were singing "Happy Birthday" to him, and of course I forgot my camera. So, I ran I got my camera, and it did not video on the "second" time we sang Happy Birthday. So, I got my phone and told everyone to sing a "third" time to him...he loves the "Happy Birthday" song, but he hit his head and wailed...he is so loud...I think he likes attention. I so love this lil' man. I think y'all know this. My smartelic husband said I should name this "Layton's blog", well, it is MY blog and I can post what I want to...as if...
