Friends Day...

Yesterday I went to Layton's daycare at 4pm for Friends Day. Of course, he wanted me to hold him the whole time. I cannot express the feeling when you walk up to the door and he sees me and smiles and runs... The Best!!!

They were suppose to sing and dance but they all wanted to be held. Then we decorated sugar cookies and did a craft.

This brings back so many memories of Lauren when she went to this same daycare! As Layton and I walked down the hallways, it was like going back in time! Great Day!

I figure this verse is pretty important, it was written three times in a row in this Psalms.

RESPA...

Today I went to the Rose Garden for continuing education. As a Realtor, we have so many hours we have to complete every two years.

RESPA-Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act- a law protecting consumers from abuses during the residential real estate purchase and loan process by requiring lenders to disclose all settlement costs, practices, and relationships.



It is as interesting as it sounds...lol I am not sure if the government could make things any more complicated in my line of work. So consumers, hold on...make sure you have a local lender and a great Realtor. I know one if you need one! :)

Boggles my mind...

I was looking for pictures about God, after I had pondered on these verses all day. Our mind cannot even think in this capacity...God always has been, and He stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth. You either believe this verse, or you do not, there is no gray area. I am not sure who took the picture above, but it says it was taken from a cell phone. Makes you think huh? God's hands!

This was the verse before me today!

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12


"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody."



I have to laugh somewhat when I read this verse. I am like, I KNOW GOD, I am trying to lead a quiet (self controlled) life, I am trying to earn my keep, but OMG, so many obstacles, I need some help here. But, seriously, I think if we all would abide by this verse, take care of ourselves and not expect others to do so, that our world would be a better place.



On another note, maybe our government should put this verse with all of its' handouts, stimulus packages, food stamps, etc...just thinkin'...

I'm Here...

I kept Layton for a few hours yesterday...he calls me WAWA, for LaLa...sometimes, he just calls my name, and I look up, and he smiles :) it is like he just wants to know I am there, and he wants me to know he is there... it is extreme happiness for both of us!

I wonder if God feels the same way...when we think of Him and just whisper his name, just for the heck of it, just so we will be recognized...I bet HE smiles too!

PS I thought of me and Layton when I saw this picture...I drew smiley faces on our fingers the other day, and we played...he loved it! Why do we buy toys when kids just like our time and imagination... ?

Dear John...

Friday Night Entertainment...

Grace before Peace...

My verse before me today is:

Isaiah 26:3

"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord is the Rock eternal."

Bro David made an interesting point Wednesday night in studying Revelation. In the Bible, you always see written, Grace before Peace, not Peace before Grace. Without Grace, we do not have Peace. We are saved by Grace (what we are given that we do not deserve), therefore we do have Peace, we have perfect peace - him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you.
Ponder on this!

My buddy...

I have spent some time with my lil' buddy this week. He has been sick, Lauren has been sick, and my laptop has a virus, ughh. So, lil' Layton was with me at home today, and as I worked on the desktop (which I do not prefer and do not have all my info), I put him beside me on the floor with copy paper and big crayons... by the way, they were Lauren's colors, I had them put up, I am just wondering how old they are? hmmm OH and they were glitter crayons. Go figure! Anyway, I am so blessed and even with all the obstacles this week, I can say, " I am still standing".

I left my bible open today beside me all day. The verses I had read today, I knew I needed but I really did not understand them until this afternoon. I had several problems I was dealing with...impossible situations that God easily handled without my help ... huhhh!

Psalms 108:12-13
"Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies".

Jesus likes ME... :)

Have you ever had times when you have said to the Lord, "what do you want me to say", knowing you want to share Jesus with someone hurting or anyone who has questions about God.

I read this in a devotional today, this is what one ER nurse says,

"Jesus likes me. When I talk to Him today, I'll pray for you."

You know you just never know when what you say, will affect someone. Most of the time, when people are hurting, they do not mind you mentioning God to them. It seems when people are doing good in life, that God is at a distance. Remember 911, no one had a problem with praying, did they! Just thinkin...

The Tough get Tougher...

In hard times she had learned three things:

*She was stronger than she ever imagined,

*Jesus was closer than she ever realized,

*and she was loved more than she ever knew!



AMEN to that! Love it!
