My early morning prize...

About 6:45, I saw this amazing sunrise...all of my camera's were in the car, so I took this with my phone. The camera did not do justice on the vivid colors. A mixture of pink, hot pink, and blues...God gives us little prizes, do we take time to even notice? Well, I did today!

Refresh yourself...

Today's verse, Proverbs 11:25
"A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

Refresh meaning to make you feel that you have more energy again when tired or hot.

This is exactly how I feel I treat others in my business. Being in the real estate field, often, my clients need to vent or actually they just want to be heard. A lot of times, I feel like I "refresh" others. I make it seem all will be well, and in return, I feel refreshed. I always say live your life by the Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do to you! Not long ago, a client called me with a dilemma. I asked her, "if this was in reverse, what would you want the other person to do?". She immediately said, "well, now that you put it that way, I should do this", which was the right thing to do.

Just do the right thing! I bet she refreshed the other person and in return felt refreshed! :)

Head to Toe...

I pondered on Proverbs 6:16-19 today, I wanted to remember these verses, so my way of memorizing anything is word association. What I noticed was the order of these verses, from head to toe.
My paraphrase of these verses:
There are 6 things God hates, 7 which are detestable:
Haughty Eyes
Lying Tongue
Hands that shed innocent blood
A heart that devises wicked schemes
Feet that rush into evil
A false witness that spreads lies
A person that causes dissension among brothers.
It just amazes me how God can pinpoint every part of our lives. He covered it from Head to Toe in just a few words. I surely wish I could say , that I had never done any of these!

Monkey SEE, Monkey DO...

The story behind these pics...Layton ran in the door today and immediately put on his glasses. Jason (Boo Boo) has many "readers" that he wears all the time, and he wears them alot on top of his head. He gave Layton these glasses a few weeks ago. Layton keeps these glasses near him all the time. I caught him today with them on top of his head. He constantly goes to my little cabinet where I have my lipstick, and puts on his "juicy fruit" chapstick. He doesn't forget anything!
He came up to me late today and said, "Hey LaLa, you busy, I busy"...
He keeps me laughing! I so needed him today, I have missed him!
He is the best present I have ever received! Thank you God, for my baby boy!

Savannah Trip...We're home now!

City Market, the hang out!...

This house was built for twins, back in the day...wanted to be fair, huh?...

Old Texaco on the way to Charleston...

Fascinated with this lil' house, built in 1700-1800...515 sq ft, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, $249K...

Old Pirates House-old......1700's...

Paula Deen's first restaurant on Congress Street...

Old carriage houses, located behind residences...now garages...

Beautiful residences, Low Home...houses in the Historical District- $2.5K-5.5K...back in the day, these houses cost around $50K, and that was expensive. Cotton made families rich!

Jason and the pirate :)

Another home,

And another,

another,

and,

Forsyth Park, gorgeous,

Love the streets, oaks hanging over draped with spanish moss...

Love this picture...my screensaver...

At the end of this strip, was the dueling grounds... fight it out guys!

Paula Deen's new location/restaurant, just a little further down on Congress Street. The Lady and Sons restaurant... her store was located next door, which I had to visit several times...

Chippewa Square, this is where the bench sat for Forest Gump...

Old, old cemetary...spooky...

My favorite spot, pralines, candy everywhere...

Read, pretty old...love the history in Savannah,

More than a dozen parks, easy to walk, you walk several blocks, you come to a park, walk several blocks, come to a park...we loved it. Stores, residences, tea rooms, people strolling, people walking their dogs...relaxed. I feel like I have been on a real estate trip...I absolutely loved the houses and even met a Realtor. I actually worked one of my contracts sitting on a bench in one of these parks... :)

New Year's Eve

Savannah and 2010 New Year's Eve...Jason and I ate at the "Lady and Sons" (Paula Deen's) restaurant and then listened to live music at the City Market. :).

Forsyth Park

Just gorgeous. Forsyth Park and the famous fountain. Pics do not do Savannah justice. In the pic, notice the spanish moss hanging from the trees. It is an air borne plant that is not harmful to the trees, BUT it is where red bugs or as we call "chiggers" live. Yikes...I keep asking people if the little creatures will fall on me. I kind of itch...hehe...
