The Perfect Day...

The cat food always entertains him...empties the bowl, fills up the bowl, shuts the box...over and over and over!

Looked at him in the yard and he was picking a flower, look at those lil' fingers...
He came running to me with the flower...how do they know to do this? :)

Sitting on a stump with a lil flower in his hand, ahhhh...

The boy loves antssssss...I gave him a stick to stir them around!

I had fun with my two boys, big and little...we stayed outside all afternoon. Ate supper on the porch and then came in for a MUCH needed bath. He almost threw a fit when I told him we were going inside, but, I said "want a sucker in the bathtub?"...and that did it! Smiles...

as we went down the hallway, he kept saying "FUN"...so sweet!

Ask for it!

Well, I finished I Kings and II Kings in the Bible. I was glad because it seemed that every king, "did evil in the sight of the Lord". Then I started I Chronicles, and omg, it is all the descendants. Name after name. I thought what am I going to get out of this?, then I read I Chronicles 4:10.

"Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.

Sometimes, I feel selfish when I praying and asking God to allow my business to prosper and over and over again, it seems I ask for God to keep my family safe and healthy. BUT, once again, God hears our prayers, he is faithful, and once again, God spoke to me while I spent time with Him this morning. God does answer prayers, He does grant our requests, but we have to ASK!

No Option with God...

This quote is from Max Lucado, and it made me really think,

"As long as Jesus is one of many options he is no option. As long as you can take him or leave him you might as well leave, because he will not be taken half heartedly."

I began to think about this in my business of real estate. When you write a contract to purchase a property you have what is called an "Option Period". In a nutshell, you can terminate or opt out of this contract for any reason during a specified time period. Frankly speaking, you are not 100% committed to this property. In contrast, we do not have an option period with God. God wants us to be committed to him 100%. If you don't agree with me, just read this verse below... ha, told you!

Deuteronomy 6:5

"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."

PS In the picture above, you will find my surely bird...

TEXAS...

"For those of you that think us Texans regard ourselves as an independent country unto ourselves, yep, you'd be right, that's EXACTLY what we think. And no, we're not changing any time soon, no matter how many of you Yankees and Californians decide to move down here. Just letting y'all know..."

New Take on Spaghetti...

I think I will try this next week! New take on one of our favorite meals. Jason always makes a double recipe of his famous sauce and I freeze it in quart size bags. Easy to thaw for a quick meal.
Spaghetti a la Philly
3/4 lb. spaghetti, uncooked
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 jar (24 oz.) spaghetti sauce
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed (Next time I’m trying 2-3 oz.)
2 Tbsp. Grated Parmesan Cheese
COOK spaghetti as directed on package.
MEANWHILE, brown meat in large skillet; drain. Return meat to skillet. Stir in sauce and cream cheese; cook on low heat 3 to 5 min. or until sauce is well blended and heated through, stirring frequently.
DRAIN spaghetti. Add to sauce; mix lightly. Place on platter; top with Parmesan.
This recipe was tested using Prego Roasted Garlic Parmesan sauce.
Recipe from Real Mom Kitchen.

Sweet Sadie...

I have to post this lil pic of Sadie. I am selling a house to her parents, Adam and Marissa. They have moved from Arizona. She is so precious!

Only ONE...

I have thought about these verses all day. Just ONE... God is over ALL and through ALL and in ALL. What else can be said? You either believe ALL of this or you don't!

Ephesians 4:5-6

There is one body
and one Spirit—just as you were called to
one hope when you were called—
one Lord,
one faith,
one baptism;
one God and Father of all,
who is over all and through all and in all.

Picture worth a thousand words...

Love, Love, Love this picture of my mother and daddy slow dancing to George Strait at a family wedding...many years of love between these two! Can I hear an "ahhhhhh"?...
OMG, I love this one!

Jason must be serenading me... :)

Cafe Tazza...

I had lunch today at Cafe Tazza with Betty, one of my very best friends. I just love this place. I highly recommend their Chicken Salad on Raisin Pecan Bread with a side Spinach Salad...bright, sun shining day! Good food, good friend!

Bubbles, Bubbles, and More Bubbles...

I went to pick Layton up at Green Acres Daycare....today.... OMG, it was so cute...they were playing in Bubbles. I had to run to my car and get my camera...
They had so much fun!

March Postcard...

March's postcard, you should have received in the mail. If you would like to be on my mailing list, just let me know! :)

Fat and Happy...

As I was finishing up this morning before I left, this picture I took from the kitchen sink. The sun was shining and all the cows were fat and happy...

Momma cow lifted her head for me!

So, I went out on the front porch and snapped a picture. Gorgeous day, this picture is exactly why I live where I do...no words can describe how beautiful it is, and yet Spring is not even here yet.

Yesterday, I entered a raffle with the Bullard FFA. I bought 25 $1 tickets. The drawing is Thursday. Want to know the prize? 5 Heifers if I win...I soooooo hope I win! My daddy would love it! I told Jason last night, and he said "your daddy", "I would love it"...so I hope I win for Jason! hehehe

PS Read this verse today before I even noticed the outside and it has stuck with me. Romans 1:20

"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

Truck fascination...

I think Layton says "truck" a hundred times a day...fascinated!

Focus...

Ponder this:

"Keep your focus on My Presence in the present."

I read this last week and I am still thinking on it! I wanted to post this a few days ago, and I just got busy and distracted. I started thinking on this saying today, a few things have hit me that was not expected...so I am focusing... :)
