The story behind this wailing... we had Layton's birthday party at the house Saturday night. We were singing "Happy Birthday" to him, and of course I forgot my camera. So, I ran I got my camera, and it did not video on the "second" time we sang Happy Birthday. So, I got my phone and told everyone to sing a "third" time to him...he loves the "Happy Birthday" song, but he hit his head and wailed...he is so loud...I think he likes attention. I so love this lil' man. I think y'all know this. My smartelic husband said I should name this "Layton's blog", well, it is MY blog and I can post what I want to...as if...

Layton had a professional haircut today... and I am betting momma had this lollipop in her purse...that's what I'm talking about! :)

The Sneeze, short story!...

THE SNEEZE

I think this is awesome!!!

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt. Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears. This class would NOT pray during the commencements, not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it. The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families. The speeches were nice, but they were routine until the final speech received a standing ovation. A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened. All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED !!!! The student on stage simply looked at the audience and said,
'GOD BLESS YOU' And he walked off the stage... The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.

This is a true story; it happened at the University of Maryland !

Splendor and Majesty...

I am in I Chronicles, and it has been a little harder to read, but I came across this prayer of David's giving praise to our Lord. I am in the process of memorizing it now, seems memorizing is harder for me now. I use to memorize so easily. I hope I can teach Layton this prayer as he grows older. Wouldn't this prayer be so awesome to start off each day, or start off anytime we pray. Praise and adoration to God our King~

Shake your booty...

I had Layton in my lap, and I had just finished talking to someone on the phone. He was mimicking me. When you listen to this, the first thing he is saying is "thank you for calling"...

Then yesterday, I gave him a can of juice, and I always tell him to "shake, shake, shake", well, then I said "shake your booty", he kept saying this! lol Remember the old song, "shake, shake, shake, ...........shake, shake, shake, shake your booty, shake your booty". He will go to school saying this...ha...I will be the reason he is in trouble! Oh well! :)
