Drill, Thrill and Skill...

WWow, this is good!  

I can just hear this being read aloud!

Molding a Man

When God wants to drill a man,
And thrill a man, And skill a man,
When God wants to mold a man
To play the noblest part;
When He yearns with all His heart.
To create so great and bold a man
That all the world shall be amazed,
Watch His methods, watch His ways!

How He ruthlessly perfects
Whom He royally elects!
How He hammers him and hurts him,
And with mighty blows converts him
Into trial shapes of clay which
Only God understands;
While his tortured heart is crying
And he lifts beseeching hands!

How He bends but never breaks 
When his good He undertakes;
How He uses whom He chooses,

If there is anything I can relate to, it is making cookies.  You know the dough has to be mixed just right, the best ingredients, and rolled to just the right thickness.  That perfect cookie cutter has been selected by the baker.  I know when I choose the cookie cutter, it has been thought about and there is always a reason for that choice.  And guess what?  Even the scraps that are left over are used.  They may even be the best, because they are the ones with just a liitle extra flour mixed in... What a lesson learned... God has made a choice for how He is molding each of us... Ponder on which cookie cutter God has selected for you?  Or will we ever know? ... I might be the scraps one day, or the perfect warm cookie another, but everyday, I taste just right to the Maker!

No coincidence...

 
I saw a friend at church this week... She came and hugged me, thanking me for a note I had sent her after her mother passed away.  She told me the verses I sent, happened to be the entire focal point of her mother's memorial.  OMG, I was blown away, once again, by God.  To be honest, it had slipped my mind, of the verses, that I had mailed to her, so I had to really think...... and I do remember.  I was reading the book of Lamentations.  How do you forget reading Lamentations, it is a small book in the Bible, and yet, when you read through the Bible, it takes a little time to get to Lamentations considering its' location in the Bible.  Can you believe God's timing?   My friend's words to me, were ...  God's grace is sufficient.   Tears in her eyes,  she confidently told me not once but twice...God's grace is sufficient.  Another confession,  as I wrote the note to her and mailed the note, I thought to myself, will these verses even make sense to her....  it seems, alot of times, I write and mail wondering if what I am trying to say, conveys to the person .... well, I guess God showed me, huh?
God's word speaks, God's word is living.  I am just the vessel.  Surely,

Texas Association of REALTORs convention...

Last week I attended the Texas Association of REALTORs convention in Dallas.  As President of the Greater Tyler Association of REALTORS, I always learn and benefit from all the information presented.  Mark Dotzour from the Real Estate Center in College Station is very highly respected.  His outlook statement is below,

An economic outlook that says you’ll be busy next year
“The good news is that the housing market in Texas has turned the corner,” reported Mark Dotzour, chief economist at Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University, during the association’s board of directors meeting. Dotzour said three factors indicate that transaction volume is going to rise in Texas next year: job growth, low interest rates on mortgages, and positive home appreciation. “So don’t take any vacations in 2014 because it will be a great time to sell homes.”

Do you care?...


I think I will hang these words on my office door!  As a Real Estate Broker and a full time Realtor that adheres to the Code of Ethics... First and foremost, we put others needs before ourselves.  If I have learned anything about people, they want to be heard, they want to be the one that "wins".  But, when confronted with, "how would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot?", the majority of the time, they have a totally different outlook!
