Eye See You!...

My new prize, "Howie", love those big eyes!

Jeremiah 23:24
"Can anyone hide himself in secret places,
So I shall not see him?” says the Lord;"

I read this verse on my Aunt's face page today and it reminded me of Layton.  Such a little snot he is :)  Last week I picked Layton up from school.  He was in the backseat and decided he wanted a piece of gum.  Mind you, he already had one piece in his mouth.  I was stopped, and on the phone, so the little snot got out of his seat, came up to the front and got a piece of gum, all the while I am motioning to him "no".  He bent down in the backseat on the floor and opened the gum and of course put it in his mouth.  As soon as I got of the phone, I told him that God see's him being sneaky in the backseat.  He immediately let me know that "God can't see in the car"!  Ha.... such a child, but I began thinking, I wonder if that is what we all think when we do things we know we should not do?  Just because we think no one else see's us, doesn't mean God cannot see us.  I let Layton know that God is everywhere, he see's everything we do.  He said, "God has special eyes?"
What do you say to that?  I said YES he does!

We cannot run, we cannot hide.  There are No Secret places...

Grace, the icing on the cupcake!...

This is from a Max Lucado email, it is so GOOD!

"Not just mercy, mind you, but grace. Grace goes beyond mercy. Mercy gave the prodigal son a second chance. Grace threw him a party. Mercy prompted the Samaritan to bandage the wounds of the victim. Grace prompted him to leave his credit card as payment for the victim’s care. Mercy forgave the thief on the cross. Grace escorted him into paradise.
Mercy pardons us. Grace woos and weds us. Grace does this. God does this. Grace is God walking into your world with a sparkle in his eye and an offer that’s hard to resist!
“Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5″

I'm happy, you happy? :)
We was so enjoyable tonight.  As I was leaving his house tonight, he jumped in my arms like a baby, and said
"I never want you to leave, I love you LaLa"... and he was so serious!
Now that's happiness!
That lil kitten loves him!

Lord help...

I will preface this blogpost, that you may think I am crazy. :)  I just have to write about an experience I had yesterday.  Late yesterday afternoon, I was on the phone in my office, and Penny came in and said there is a man in the front office. She whispers that  He cannot hear or speak.  While I am on the phone, my mind is racing, "thinking I can't do this".  My phone conversation ended, and  I walked to the front.  Do you ever have those times in your life, where you  just want to run?  you just do not want to handle something?  well, this was my time.  The man was big man, he had an umbrella, sweaty, kind of wet (it had been raining), and he had a piece of paper and a pen with an address written on the paper.  I looked at him and tried to talk, thinking he could read lips, but he could not speak, just sounds.  I, immediately, asked Penny to look up the address.  She printed the house listing for me, and I began to try and communicate with this man.  I had to write, he had to write, and he could not write well.  It was very difficult to understand his motive due to his writing.  Meanwhile, the front office is filling up with people, but my concentration was on this man.  I felt a peace come over me.  Yes, you think I might be crazy right now.  But, it just seemed that no one in that front office mattered at this point.  It was like I just heard muffled noise. I was calm. I have no idea what anyone in that room thought.  I didn't care.  I just wanted to help this man.  The man was getting  a little frustrated because I could not understand.  I wrote to him, I am sorry... I wrote, do you have any more ?'s... I thought at first he wanted to rent, then I think he wanted to lease to own.  Finally, after several pages of writing, I wrote,
"I Sell Houses.  This house is a foreclosure.  Can you get a loan for a house?  This is not a lease to own house."  I had already tried to communicate this principal at the beginning, but maybe it was patience that prevailed.  As soon as he read the last note to him, he got this BIG smile on his face, and he seemed to understand.  He wanted my phone number?  I thought, like really?  We can't even communicate face to face.  So, I motioned to him, that I would get him a card.  I gave him my business card and he seemed happy as a lark.  I will never forget his smell (musty) and his BIG smile.  He seem so appreciative.  He went from frustrated to happy.
He left with all his papers that I wrote on, and I immediately went to another office to see where he went.  Heck, I don't know where he went.
I have not been able to get him off my mind.  How frustrating it must be for him everyday.  My problems seem very, very small.
Last night, this verse came to me.  I looked it up this morning,
Hebrews 13:1-2
"Keep on loving each other as brothers.  Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it."

Was he an angel that God put in my path?  I do not know.  But, I do know, that God gave me the heart, the actions, the ability to communicate with this man.

I thank you Lord, that you have given me a situation, that without you, I could not handle.  I thank you Lord, for the peace and calmness and love for a stranger.  Amen,

I'm happy, you happy?  :))))

Go for the Pearl...

Well, finally home.  I can blog now!  It is so hard for me to blog on the road.  I attended the Texas Association of Realtors convention in San Antonio.  My hat is off to anyone that travels for work, omg, I am glad to be home.  As soon as I got home, I had to see Layton.  We were in my bed last night, I think this is becoming a ritual, bible story, then he sleeps beside me on a pallet.  He kept begging me to read the treasure story.  I finally found the lost page in the storybook,   and I began to read.  It was about a "pearl".  I thought to myself, Layton doesn't understand this story.  But I kept reading.
Low and behold, this morning, I listened to James MacDonald.  Guess what he talked about?  The same story I read Layton last night, is the story he told.
Go for the Pearl!  I laughed.  Coincidence?  Nope.
Go for the Pearl!  Nothing satisfies but Jesus!  Nothing matters but Jesus!  Sell out for Jesus!
What does this take?
Lock -  Does your TV or Internet need a lock on specific channels?
Limit - Do you need to limit addicting substances?  Could be food,  sugar, alcohol, you get the drift.
Leave - Somethings in your life, you need to completely rid yourself of.... hmmmm

Oh my, what a message!
I always feel like when I travel, my life gets "off".  I eat more, I exercise less, I read my Bible less, and I pray in spurts!  Forgiveness I need, Forgiveness I have received!

All I need is Jesus, nothing else can satisfy.... right?
Go for the Pearl!

Pray until something happens...

Dealing with an attitude I have.   Stems from others' not believing my view in politics.  Ughhhh, I do not like to be critical, and I have to constantly hold myself back in my comments at different times.  Last night, I came across a post on Facebook, linking to Max Lucado.  Below is a verse he quoted,

“First, I tell you to pray for all people, asking God for what they need and being thankful to him. Pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to know the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4 NCV)

I definitely believe PRAYER is the way to go.  God most definitely has this under control, so I do not need to control this situation, lol.

Click the link below,  40 days of PRAYER for our Country, pre-election,

Get Ready...

I read this today from Oswald Chambers,

"You will find that God has trusted you in the most intimate way possible, with an absolute silence, not of despair, but of pleasure, because He saw that you could stand a bigger revelation. If God has given you a silence, praise Him, He is bringing you into the great run of His purposes. The manifestation of the answer in time is a matter of God's sovereignty."

Gosh, that's good, read it and think about it!
I always tell Layton, GET READY, when I am bringing him a warm blanket for his nap!  GET READY is what I think about when I read the statement above!

Are you Ready?...
