I love this one! Lauren and JW...

Wah...La...

Today's verse, Exodus 13:21
"By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night."

I just think this is so awesome, the miracles that God performed from the beginning of time. Can you imagine being led by a cloud or better yet fire? It makes me think of "wah..la.." see this, see what I did? God was with the Israelites and he proved it!

Good things again...

Today's verses, Psalm 107: 6, 8-9

"Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things."

Today in reading, these verses are repeated several times in Psalm 107. I had just posted a few days ago about God satisfiying us with good things. Good things restore our strength, good things keep us going, good things give us hope. I am in constant prayer about my attitude, that I might have one of hope and that I DO NOT let Satan get the victory. Good things, today I am experiencing good things!

Good things...

Psalm 103:5

"who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s."

I read this verse yesterday and it has stayed with me. Life seems to be hard, but do you ever notice that when you are down, God sends something along your way that lifts your spirit?... good things, little good things, that invigorate, that give energy and newness. It's not the big things in life, but just the little things. Right?

Little Sadie...

When I met Adam and Marrissa in the Fall of 2009, Sadie was just a newborn.... I can still remember, she was a bundle of pink, so cute!
I gave Sadie this cute brown and black tutu for her first birthday.... Marissa posted this pic on Facebook tonight!

Shiney...

Today's verse, Proverbs 4:18

"The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day."

I am kind of in a "funk" today...I don't want to be, I am definitely well, well taken care of also, sun is shining, yard is mowed, house is clean, and I am sitting at the office taking care of business. Ever have one of those days? I cannot even put my finger on it, but anyway, I was looking back at the saved verses on my iPhone, and this is one that hit me. I don't think my "path" is shining right now, :) So, maybe I need to put this verse to memory.

This verse reminds me of the morning sun as it appears on the horizon. I have seen it often, (not lately) but often. (That's it, maybe I need to exercise more). Anyway, if you have ever watched the sun come up, it is dim and it gets brighter and brighter. If I take this verse literally, I suppose, my "righteous path" should be one that makes another notice, makes one notice that I am different, that I rely on God's provision and EVERY detail of my life. Makes one notice not once but over and over that something is different about me, something that they want. So, I shall try to change my "inner" attitude at this point. And at this point the only way I know to change is to be "thankful". I am blessed beyond words and I will continue to thank God for all circumstances, even when in a "funk"... I am smiling :)

Love my momma...

Happy Mother's Day to my sweet, beautiful momma. Each one of these pictures I found remind me of her. She loves birds, she loves their feeders, she loves blue, and she loves little things.

This picture reminds me of strength. My momma is the strongest of anyone I know. Not in physical strength (but she is pretty strong), but emotionally and spiritually. She is "surely", confident, never seems scared, lonely, bored, she is just pure strength. Oh, and she loves my daddy, oh how I love that! See those two in the tree, this reminds me of my mother, doodling on paper...she doodles, draws flowers, this is someting she would sooooo draw... doodle, love that word!

I know she will love this picture of the momma giraffe nuzzling the baby giraffe. She loves me so, and it shows. I do not go a day without talking to her several times. I am so lucky to have my momma... and live beside her... most people do not want to live close to their parents, but I absolutely, love it...

Today, just know mother that you are so loved. I appreciate you, thank you for loving me and thank you for raising me and teaching me to love God. I am so blessed!

Happy Mother's Day Weekend...

Me and my two, Lauren and Layton...Fun day at a family wedding!

My momma and me...

Bump...

I Thessalonians 5:18

"give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus"

This is one of my all time favorite verses. I was listening to the radio this morning, and the preacher's analogy was, "if you have a glass of coke, and someone bump's you, what spills out? coke, right... " Well, in life, if I am bumped, what spills out of me? Does a thankful heart spill out, does bitterness spill out, does arrogance spill out, you get the picture. It is easy to be thankful when the sun is shining like today, it is easy to be thankful when my family is well and happy. But what about circumstances that no one knows, family problems, friends that have very ill parents and family, loss of jobs, divorce, death, I deal with alot of these everyday in my job. I hope that I can ponder on this verse, and remember that most importantly, God tells us in his word to be thankful in everything. One thing I do know, when life does bump me, there is always something at the same time to be thankful for. I have witnessed it myself. Life is like a train track, life is not always bad, there is good and bad at the same time. Thank you God for your word to me today!
