We just think Royal...

The "Royal Wedding" of William and Kate. I have to admit I did love watching the wedding unfold. I just love all the fuss, and I am well aware it is a huge waste of money... but curiosity gets the best of me. Love the tradition, love the dress, love the intrigue. But, as my daddy reminded me last night, we cannot even imagine what God has in store for us in Heaven. Just read the verse below...what a great analogy to the events of this week. I am just fascinated with what is to come, as we should all be that believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah... You think this wedding was prepared for, well God is preparing for us, and preparing and preparing...hmmm long time ... preparing...

I Corinthians 2:9

"However, as it is written:
"What no eye has seen,

what no ear has heard, and

what no human mind has conceived”

the things God has prepared for those who love him"

We just do not even know what Royal IS? do we? It's a big Surprise... :)

Silly boy...

Layton's Easter Art...I took this today, but last week when I picked him up from school, he showed me his "art"! I said Layton, I have to turn my head to the side to see his face ! He thinks that is so funny, so now he turns his head to the side. Love that silly boy!

Which brings to mind something I remember from our Sunday School class a few weeks ago. The conversation was about ART, when an artist signs his works. An artist is known by his paintings. I have pondered on, I want people to know that I am God's ART... For example, There's a Picasso, oh, I see a God's ART ... wouldn't it be grand, that all person's see us in that way! :) Matthew 7:16 " you will know them by their fruits"...

Easter Prize...

See that little silver bunnie, my momma gave me this... you know what it is used for? When I bake, and I take my rings off, I place them on the ears... is this not the cutest? My mother knows I absolutely loveeeeee lil' things! Thank you mother! ;)

Just Because...

I read this today and I thought about it all day...

"The cross that Jesus commands you and me to carry is the cross of submissive obedience to the will of God, even when His will includes suffering and hardship and things we don't want to do. It is a willingness to totally, absolutely, irrevocably, and finally yield our lives to Him because we want what He wants more than what we want." Anne Graham Lotz

Happy Easter - Jesus is Alive - He is Risen... What a celebration!

I wish for everyone a wonderful, blessed day. I am looking forward to a family day myself!

QR Reader...

Have you ever noticed these QR Codes? Well, start looking, they will be everywhere. Magazines especially.

Go to Apps on your Iphone and download QRReader, then open the app and point at one of these QR Codes, like the one above.

A QR code is short for Quick Response. This code will lead you to more information, for example, websites, shopping info, Real Estate listings, etc.

It is actually fun to use! I love technology, but to me it is the sign of the times, hmmm, is "666" next. do do do do...

Breakfast Club...country style...

While walking this morning, I captured this picture....this is basically my front yard.... I am not sure you can tell, but this calf looks like she is in time out...she stayed there all alone for at least 45 minutes, while I walked. She was laying down, but of course, she got up when I took the pic. To the left is a group of more calves - I say they were at mother's day out , and to the right are all the mothers, chewing their cud. Yep, I was amused, Breakfast Club in the country. I love watching their patterns.

Layton's 3 yr party ...

I know, I know, it is more pictures, but I have to record this moment. He sooooo loved being sung happy birthday to....... love my baby boy.... time is passing too fast!

Promise # 4...Do not Faulter...

Do not Faulter, Do not waiver. God is watching, We are his!

II Chronicles 16: 9 "For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him."

Isaiah 43 “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

James, gave an example of kids, sending them to college, time and money spent, child is ready to graduate and calls you saying that he will not graduate because of $20 owed for a book fine. As a parent, we say, not problem, we pay the debt and the child graduates. Well, God has redeemed us, he paid a price for me and we are his. Do you think there is any problem he cannot handle? No, he is God. So when we come to him with our needs and problems, wonder what he thinks? Hmmm, I bet he thinks, this is not a big deal at all, I've got it covered!

Our problems may be for a long time, years, the water may get deep but it will not get too deep. We do not know our capacity, but God does, and when it is enough, he will say it is enough. Whatever happens in our life, he is bringing it to us for the good. How many times can you look back and now see that what you went through was for your very "good"?
Isaiah 43: 2-4, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead. Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you."

God knows you ~ Psalm 139:13 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb."

I Cor 10: 13 "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

Do not Faulter, do not waiver...we are precious in God's sight. Much like, Lauren and Layton, they are so precious to me... God let us as parents have a glimpse in to how he feels for us!

Live in Awe...

After my post last night, being quiet, pondering and listening to what God has for me, these were my thoughts in my devotion this morning. Mind you, I read several devotion books each morning, then I have a plan of reading Psalm, Proverbs, Genesis, Daniel, and Matthew. I started out and could not believe all that I was reading, so I started writing notes on "Evernote" on my iPhone - so here goes:

Proverbs 14:8 "The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way." The prayer at the end of this devotional is,"Lord I need to know that you are my foundation and my life is being built according to your blueprint. Give me discernment to know your ways and purposes. "

Zechariah 2:13 "Be still before the Lord"

II Chronicles 16: 9 "God is looking for those who are seeking him."

Psalm 23: 2-3 "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me besides quiet waters, he restores my soul."

Psalm 64: 9 "All mankind will fear, they will proclaim the works of God and ponder what he has done."

Proverbs 4:27 "Do not swerve to the right or to the left keep your foot from evil."

Daniel 8: 27 "I Daniel was exhausted and lay ill for several days then I got up and went about the kings business. I was appalled by the vision. It was beyond understanding." This was Daniels dream about the distant future. God will win the war, everyone will acknowlege Him.

Matt 10: 28 "What I tell you in the dark speak in the daylight. What is whispered in your ear proclaim from the roofs."

And finally, Sunday morning, I looked and looked for this passage. I could not find it, and OMG, this morning, this chapter in Matthew was my chapter to read,

When I was 14 years old, this is the verse that brought me to Jesus.

Matt 10: 32 "Whoever acknowledges me before men I will also acknowledge him before my father in heaven, but whoever disowns me before men I will disown him before my father in heaven."

Is it not powerful, how you can read God's word, and no explanation is needed. I stand in awe of our Sovereign Lord. Surely,

I have been quiet...

It is not like me to NOT post on my blog everyday. I have been quiet... pondering, I have a lot to say, but just not the words to say yet. I have immersed myself in listing to the "promises" by James MacDonald. I love his enthusiasm and confidence. I feel I am weak in my portrayal of how I love my God and what he has done for me. What excitement we should feel that HE has "redeemed" us, paid the price for our sins. We may have hard times while on this earth, we may lose a few battles, but God always wins the war. I keep praying that God leads me in the direction he has for me, I feel a tugging, but I am unsure of what it means. So, in the meantime, I wait, I do what I can do, and leave the rest to Him. Walking in Faith, while waiting for God to work. Amen, right...
Isaiah 30:15 "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength." Proverbs 21:30 "Whether you turn to the left or to the right, you will hear a voice behind you saying, this is the Way, walk in it."
