My world...
This is exactly how I feel when I take offers to sellers from "buyers". Seems buyers KNOW it is a "buyer's market" and they make such extremely low offers. I am not sure why anyone thinks that sellers will give away their properties.
So, enjoy the humor in my little world, I am!

Push Ups...
Jason and I took the girls and Layton to Whataburger for dinner. We walked over to Dairy Queen to get Layton an ice cream cone, but they were closed - some sort of water issue, can you believe? By this time Layton is crying for ice cream so we walk to the convenience store, which is right next to Whataburger and the Dairy Queen. They had no Popsicles so I bought him a "Orange Push Up". We went out and sat on the "drive through" bank curb and ate our ice cream. He loved it. What a mess it made, but we got to talk and listen to birds and stomp on bugs and ants. When he saw a dirt pile, Layton told me "I see lots dirt LaLa", I suppose he gets this from me telling him to look at "lots of dirt" on the new Brookshire location on Old J'ville Hwy. This brought back memories when the ice cream truck would drive through the neighborhood and we would all run as fast as we could. It brought back memories of being outside, hot, but just doing nothing. I thought it was actually fun. (I told Jason, now this is redneck, when you walk from fast food to fast food).

The loving truth...
I thought this picture was funny, it got your attention, didn't it? :)
I read an article by Charles Stanley tonight. He was talking about his mother when he was a young boy. She could either get right to the point when asking him where he had been, or he said she had a very quiet, loving way of getting straight to the truth. She would say - "Tell me what you want me to know."
This is so true in life, work, family and our relationship with God. God does not "whip" the truth out of us. He already knows. He wants us to tell him. I just think I will be using this on my kids, grandkids, Jason and probably my parents. Yes, I said my parents. (they conspire against me at times) :)...
I have read this several times this week in Proverbs 20:10, 17 & 23
"Differing weights and differing measures-the LORD detests them both."
"Food gained by fraud tastes sweet to a man, but he ends up with a mouth full of gravel."
"The LORD detests differing weights, and dishonest scales do not please him."
These verses must be real important, same chapter... honesty, truth...

Accepting All?...
Job 2:10
"Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble? In all this, Job did not sin in what he said."
I started reading Job today. I could not stop reading. Satan was allowed to take all away from Job, I mean everything, even his children. Satan was not able to kill Job and yet the above verse is what he told his wife as she told him to curse God.
Isn't this so true? It really makes you stop and think, would I have the same attitude? Would I, will I, always accept and praise God in all things? I hope and pray I will!
By the way, you have to read the last chapter in Job. I love it...Job was given more than he ever had! He was faithful and God blessed him... :)
Fun Day...
Whew....today was full of family, but oh, so fun. I am so blessed to have a large family. I started out going to a party for my cousin leaving for California. My mother being one of ten, is the reason I have such a large family. Then I headed out with Ruthye and Andy to shop and decorate his house. Dinner at 5, then shopping again. I enjoyed every minute of this day! :)

Conquer Fear...
I have got to conquer one of my fears-snakes. I feel like this turtle in my shell...shakin'...snakes in the road, snake on my porch...eeekkkk.
My favorite exercise is walking early in the morning. I have let this "fear" keep me from walking. I am going to get over this...this happens every year. I see a snake, I hide. I'm DONE hiding.

No fear of Foxes...
Luke 13: 31-32 and 35
"At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, "Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you." He replied, "Go tell that fox, I will drive out demons and heal people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal."
I love reading the words Jesus spoke...Herod is compared to a fox? Wouldn't you like to hear Jesus say this? I tend to invision Jesus as always speaking happy, blessed words, but he can get right to the Point! He was not intimidated, he took a stand and he did exactly as he planned. I am sure Jesus was firm, strong and people listened to Him. A little about foxes, they are sly, they are not picky eaters and their homes are dens tucked away in rock crevices. Doesn't this paint the perfect picture describing men like Herod. Always seeking to destroy. Herod wanted to kill Jesus, but guess what, he is Alive!
The last verse in this chapter is: " I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord." Once again, ALL will proclaim that God is the One and Only.
